This gets me pumped for my annual read of The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings. Seems like Thorin looks mildly human though instead of dwarf in this though?

I'll read the book again sometime next fall before the movie. It's probably been 3-4 years since I've read it. (Hoping they don't pull an Arwen with Galadriel... why the hell is she in Rivendell, is she even in the F'ing book?)

It is an easier read than LOTR

The book has a different feel to read than lord of the rings does as well, a lighter tone that's more naively adventurous and its woooonderful

I started out Not excited at all about this...

Then I took the time to actually THINK about the original Trilogy of movies...

And I remembered just how good they were... And Now I'm super excited!

Think I'm gonna do a Extended Edition Watch-through before I go to see it.

Wow, really? That's heartening, I've been hearing scary stuff, man. Like, quite a few negative reviews. I'm far too emotionally invested in this movie for it not to be good.

I have to wait a bit....going to see it with the boyfriend New Years Eve-ish. But we'll be seeing it in IMAX 3D 48 fps and all that jazz. So I'm excited.
