I see some people in our parties who have a high number of disconnects from either the game, party, or both. So I thought I'd write up a guide with some helpful links about forwarding all the ports for xbox live.
This may not help everyone with these issues, if you have a bad internet connection that drops completely, that's an issue that only your ISP can fix(Good luck with that). However, I have seen many people's experience on the Xbox One improve when they got the ports for xbox live forwarded properly. If you are not currently having any issues and don't know what you are doing, probably best to just let it stay the way it is. Many routers have good automatic port forwarding so if you aren't having any issues and haven't forwarded your ports then it's probably doing it automatically and you can just leave it alone.
I encourage anyone who is having frequent disconnects that are only effecting their Xbox to take a look at these links. Forwarding your ports is pretty easy if you just follow a guide. Again, this may not fix your issue but it's a good place to start.
You can get instructions on how to do all of this on your specific router here. Simply determine the manufacturer and model of your router and find it in the list. Just skip over all the stuff about their automated software. Do not make any changes on your router unless the guide tells you to or you know what it does.
