Beer - whats your favourite

Mon Aug 23, 2010 4:45 pm

Many of us here drink alcoholic beverages but not many of us drink cocktails, so I want to know;

What's your favourite beer.

I drink Grolsch (its better than Heineken)

Grolsch Premium Pilsner - Known internationally as Grolsch Premium Lager. It contains 5.0% abv.

what do you guys enjoy.

Tue Aug 24, 2010 2:23 am

Found this cheeky chappy on a pubcrawl on a train.

Name:Sierra Nevada
Type: American pale ale
From: California, United States
Strength: 5.60% ABV

pale ale isn't for everybody and like most ales doesnt suit hot weather.

Its a tricky one. If im at my loca,l i drink absolution.
Name:Absolution
Type: Beer
From: Sheffield, England
Strength: 5.3% ABV

If im at home i have a wide selection of bottled bevvies but my favourite would be:
Name:Innis and Gunn - Oak aged beer
Type: Beer
From: An unamed brewery just south of Edinburgh, Scotland
Strength: 6.6% ABV
2/3 of the HWM Josh Trifecta!

Well, now that this is where it belongs... ::wink::

I prefer belgian style wheat beers. (someone else will have to insert images, on phone) Fixed - Josh

I'd say my favorite is Hacker-Pschorr Weisse when I can afford it.

Our local micro brew produces a fair belgian wit, and though its brewed in Colorado, Blue Moon makes a fair substitution at places without a proper german beer on tap.

That's what I've got sitting on the table next to me. Was a present brought back from Belgium.
No idea what it's like though.

Someone find pics for me as well!! Fixed - Josh

I have a small list of favorites. Paulaner Hefe is the best wit I've found by far and can find it here and there around town.

Deletion Nocturnum (the one w/ pink elephants) is one of the top rated Belgian ales for a damn good reason, just saying.

New York's Ommegang brewery has a brew called 3 Philosiphers, a blend of 97% Belgian ale and 3% cherry brewed ale (not lambic) that is very pleasant indeed.

And last for now is Eisbock (sp?) which I have found two places so far, but is freaking amazing!!

i like to support local breweries, so I really like anything new belgium.

and i love bikes!
Then do a great job. 1554 for something dark. skinny dip for a light summer beer. I never liked hoppy IPA's till i had their Ranger. They did a limited run of Belgo which was the most delicious IPA i've ever had.

I will definetly fill some growlers up for dallas and bring them down
