Tonight's guest drinker is Joshrothathans Mum.

May 2nd

Cocktail no. 1: Mango Daquiri

2 shots of mango liqueur
2 shots of white rum
1/2 a shot of peach liqueur
1/2 a shot of cointreaux

shake with ice
pour over ice in a highball glass and top up with soda water


Cocktail no.2: Fresh Pineapple Daquiri

6 shots of freshly juiced pineapple juice
2 shots of coconut rum or liqueur
2 shots of white rum
1 shot of lime

shake with ice serve in a highball with 1 piece of lime in glass.


Cocktail no3: Pink Gangrene

2 shots of gin
1 shot of creme de framboise(raspberry liqueur)
1/2 a shot of creme de menthe(mint liqueur)

shake with ice until frosted and serve in a champagne cocktail glass.

Cocktail number 4: Vodka Martini

4 shots of Vodka
1 shot of Dry White Vermouth

shake till frosted and serve in a champagne cocktail glass
garnish with 1 Silver skin pickled onion and 1 Green pitted olive on a cocktail stick (in that order)



5/5 not for girls Crisp and if you keep your vodka in the freezer its even better


this cocktail was made famous by James Bond who requested his "Shaken not Stirred" in the films.
But in Ian Flemmings book it was the otherway round; "Stirred not Shaken", because when you shake it you break off lots of ice and weaken its strength making it a little girlier.

This of course was reversed as it sounded better.

Mick, Trudi, Kate, Mr Ben, Mrs Ben, and Hauts Girlfriend.

Cocktail Number 5: Mai tai

4 shots of white rum
2 shot of dark rum
1 shot of cointreau
1 shot of amaretto
3 shots of Orange juice
2 shots of pineapple juice
1 shot of lime juice

Shake and serve in a Cocktail glass with a marachino cherry and a thin wedge of pineapple for decoration.



Cocktail number 6: Gibson

3 shots of gin
1 a shot of dry vermouth
a dash of angostura bitters

shake until frosted serve in a champagne cocktail glass and garnish with a 2 silverskin onions on a cocktail stick

Oi Haut medoc, i aint no guest drinker. I was the one who made them cocktails last night not u!!
Also the gibson i made was 3-1 gin vermouth.
And another thing - the mai tai has 3 shots of OJ (not simpson) in it.

Haut...do you have any drink recipes a MAN might enjoy? What I mean to say is, do you have any recipes that aren't for such FRUITY drinks? Something for the whiskey drinker I might add.

haha besides the vodka martini and the gibson which ladies and lesser men shudder at, there are a whole host of kick ass drinks to be drunk.

i have a couple of favourites involving whisky these are:

cocktail number 7:Whisky Mac

2 shot of Scotch Whisky
2 shot of Green Ginger Wine

serve in a whisky tumbler over ice and top up with ginger beer or ale, stir with a cocktail stirrer.

if you don't like ginger don't bother, but its awesome if you do.

Cocktail number 8:Golden Gate

2 shot of Irish Whisky
2 shot Cointreau
1 shot of Orange Cordial
dash of Egg White
dash of Pernod

Place in a shaker and shake well strain into a cocktail glass.





Another "mans cocktail" but not involving Whisky

There are many variations to this classic so there will be recipes which say to add other things but this recipe is rather tasty

I can't afford to drink responsibly let alone drink. I'd love to though, I loves me some alcohol.

I'd try that Whiskey mac, but too much ginger give me heartburn. Think I'm gonna try that Golden Gate thing Wednesday night.
BTW, what the hell are Cointreau, Pernod and Orange Cordial?

Cointreau is a triple sec, or rather one of the most popular triple secs. Its a little pricey but IMO worth it as long as you don't waste it. Great for mixing, and on the rocks.

-two parts orange juice
-one part cranberry
-one shot tequila
-one shot Cointreau
-one shot Malibu
-Shaken and served in a highball glass on the rocks.

We cant have our team members without a drink when they are gaming, the only proviso i will make is that cocktails have been tested and enjoyed.



Pernod is another brand name for a french Anise based drink called Pastis it has a groovy quality of imulsifying when mixed with water (goes from clear to cloudy, cool huh!)

Orange cordial or orange squash is a concentrate from which orange flavoured drink is made

Back when i played snooker and pool we used to drink expresso with a shot of Grand Marnier, more of a shooter, but very good.

Heres one of my favourites:
Its my own adapted version of the sapphire martini
3 shots good qualty gin (youll taste the difference in this one)
1 shot blue curucao
dash of angustora bitters
