I figured I'd give this it's own thread since I know there's some other A7X fans around here. I've recently really gotten in to this band and I will likely see them live for the first time in October.



The new Avenged Sevenfold album 'Hail to the King' is out today. I've listened to it a few times in the last week or so while it was streaming on Itunes... After a few listens my favorite songs on the album are:

1. Shepherd of Fire - Love the horns in the intro and the dark epic tone.


2. Crimson Day - Great melody, one of the better rock ballads I've ever heard


3. Hail to the King - I like the energy of this song

I like the first song the most of the three.
I like it so far but probably won't run to the store to get the CD :/ .

Saw A7X live a few weeks ago. 3rd best show I've seen this year. (Behind Muse and Muse of course ) I even took a couple crappy videos. Kickass show, best pyrotechnics I've seen in a show, and probably the wildest crowd I've ever seen. (At least the wildest crowd I've seen in a decade or so). M. Shadows told the crowd they were, "the smallest crowd on the tour so far but you've got the most heart." Tried to get some wheelmen together for this one but no dice. (Dammit Grass)

SETLIST HERE (My favorites were Buried Alive, Critical Acclaim, and Shepherd of Fire in that order)

Today A7X premiered their (lame) video for Shepherd of Fire. The video isn't that great but the song is my front-runner for favorite song of 2013.

I just listened to the whole album on youtube. I liked the whole thing, which it is rare for me to like every song in an album the first time I listen to it. Out of all of them, my favourite song is Hail to the King.
