This was the John Lewis advert for Christmas a few years back. Each year they release some festive/cutesy/emotional advert for Christmas. It's like one of those British things that everyone knows about and kinda looks forward too and once it starts playing everything starts asking each other if they have seen it yet. They are nearly always covers of original songs and have definitely got better since they starts back in 2007. They also have a general set of adverts with the same theme, a mini story set to music.

In any case this is one of my favourite and I like quite a bit of Lilly Allens music. Here is the actual advert:


This is last years advert with the song Half a World Away by Aurora (who I think is great and I will actually be going to see in a few months)

2014's song is Real Love by Tom Odell

2012 song is The Power of Love by Gabriella Aplin

2011 doesn't have a song but it's a cute advert

2010 is Your Song sung by Ellie Goulding

2009 is Sweet Child O' Mine by Taken By Trees

2008 is various people in the ad singing From Me To You
