It is pretty good. I played the old one quite a bit and there was still a learning curve as some of controls changed a bit.
The gameplay did have some bugs which was to be expected. Overall if you are a fan of RTS games and Halo the game seems promising and I think they have about 8 months before the launch date to iron things out. The E3 demo gameplay of HW1 and the actual launch gameplay were tremendously different, I am slightly hoping they bring back some of the older elements but it may just be the stubbornness in me to avoid learning new things.
Probably the best feature of the game is it gives you 1 Halo 5 gold pack for playing 1 game and 2 more once you finish 5 HW2 games.
