Hey everybody, just wondering if people are planning to strive toward any game related goals this year?

Some ideas that come to mind; Perhaps trying to get better, vigorously memorizing the map callouts, acquiring commedation X or maybe trying to finish a forging related project.

Get more assists than deaths is my goal.

That and making better call outs.

Get back into the groove... Borderlands is destroying my team-play ability. I've been ignoring this fact by almost strictly playing Regicide as of late...

To stop sucking and getting crushed by AR's.

I got the feel that's a very connection based weapon, more than in other Halos.

I got no new year resolutions, not for Halo and not for Real life.

I don't know about that, but I was nearly getting my ass wooped by AR's pretty bad in Haven Regicide a while back, even though I had perfect shots with the BR. It might be just me, but AR seems more powerful than it used to be.

The AR was absolutely awful in Reach; completely useless and out of place. In Halo 4 it feels about as strong as it was in Halo 3 with perhaps a faster fire rate or something similar to keep its kill time close to the faster Halo 4 kill times. The shorter melee lunge means you have to get a lot more kills with the bullets than you once did.

I've been using the AR a ton in the last few days, Trying to Master it, But I've really began to enjoy it. It sucks on Huge Maps... But Medium to Small you can play quite effectively with it.

Also been getting a lot more assassinations recently. Had a string of games got 5, 6, 5, 4. Regicide with camo and an AR can make for some really fun games.

Ok, I was reading about halo the other day and I keep hearing the word "Extraction" used... I haven't looked around, is this a similar to invasion style gametype?

No, sadly. Extraction combines territories and CTF if I'm not mistaken, but it's nothing like Invasion.
