Comm. Relay (Invasion)

Name: Comm. Relay



Scenario: The covenant have set up a long range communications facility. Destroy it using any means necessary, but first you will need to bypass their defensive network. Suit up and get your boots on the ground, spartans.

Stages:

1. Disable the Shield Barrier by deactivating the generator (KotH)

Spartans will have 2 DMRs available to them during this phase. They will need to push out of their spawn on foot and secure 1 of 2 hills.

Elites will have 2 Needler Rifles as well as the 2 default spawning classes. Their job is to simply hold their objectives.

2. Disable the Doorway shields by hacking their computer (KotH)

The energy field disabled, the spartans gain the elites forward base and begin to push into the compound. There is open room enough for light vehicle combat. Spartans will have a warthog and a sniper for this stage.

Elites will now be spawning in 1 of 3 bunkers placed around the facility or in their mutual vehicle depot where a focus rifle can be found as well as 2 Ghosts.

3. Destroy key relay substation within covenant facility (Assault)

Stage 3 gets tough. The Spartans keep their forward spawns from the last phase, but at the back spawn, there is now a falcon, a rocket launcher and the hog, as well as the bomb spawn. They will have to transport the bomb into the facility and after a graciously short arming time, they will need to hold the bomb long enough for it to detonate (Which will take long enough so that the elites stand a chance at disarming it)

The elites keep the same spawns as well, but now get 1 plasma cannon, a wraith and a banshee. Stop the Spartans, and failing that, disarm the bomb. Simple right?

The bomb will be forced to walk through the entire compound, but individuals with jet packs can jump right up onto the second floor for easy access to the bomb plant point.

Hey, Im a huge Invasion fan and Ive really wanted to see a good, balanced and playable Invasion map come out of forge. I know alot about the playlist and I think I can help you with weapon balance, spawns, and general tactical finesse. Shoot me an FR and we can look it over this weekend! (havnt seen the map, but based off the bridges, you could call it skyline or crossroads) [not very good with names]
If you think we're a rolling double kill.. come get it.

Sarge murdered my idea, so I'm scrapping everything except tier 1, but swtiching from having it assault to the hill cap idea of the other 2 and saving assault for the very end.

Lo, sorry after I made that post, the trip i had for this weekend that had just been canceled was re-initiated. Dont feel bad, I probably woldve murdered your map too lolloolololol. looking forward to seeing it when i get back!

So apparently it still sucks....

Added 2 raised platforms at the first section to widen the spartan's attack path and to balance the high ground advantage

Each addition is making it more and more balanced so you're on the right track. You're not going to have the perfect map first time.

All my maps have seen multiple versions were I'm on V4 or above. Stick at it. Invasion is a hard gametype to get right.
When you come to make another map you will be much more experienced.
