well i've put some thought into it and here are the criteria for Novembers forge off

must be on sandbox

preferably large amounts of close quarters with very few open areas but both are required

out of the spirit of the recent odst release smgs and pistols should be predominant but not the only weapons on the map

must support 1-8 FFA slayer or 4v4 slayer
and one sided objective or neutral

making a map that supports more than those gametypes is also fine. as long as it still supports at least two of those.

and all who participate must put the winners map on their fileshare for a month


and as i go ill leave with a few tips that may help the easily frustrated. if you are having trouble lining up objects with other objects use large or double blocks to help line them up. and if those aren't quite helping you line up with the preciseness you want use a block tall with the larger surface on the floor. remember your trying make something people can have fun on

Also, if anyone would like to help playtest my map let me know on the forums as its set up for most gametypes and could be a legit map with some tweaks.

Bad News... I play tested my map 3v3 and it blows!!!!

I think I'm going to redo it on Sky Box and see how that works.

You are welcome to make an entry for the forge off RJ. I will have to check with sarge and pengin and we will determine if your map can win as a non helljumper.

Actually, I don't really care if I win, I'll just make one for the hell of it if i get some time.
