so i decided to play some halo 3 last night cause the roommate jacked my reach. i don't know if it was just me but it seemed like the gameplay was a LOT faster, like old school games. I felt like i was always running and could jump out of the maps. It was odd, maybe i just never realized how much the retarded everything in Reach...

The flow in Halo 3 was very good as strafing was far more important as there was increased movement speeds. Tactical jumps were more common due to the jump heights being higher.

Equipment such as bubbleshields, OS and Invis encouraged map movement as you wanted to control OS. In Reach players spawn with these so that doesn't do much to map movement :/
