i just noticed u do it differently then i do
i pull into a donut to "spread the love"
but the problem usually is the "start up" time of the donut gets me killed alot
am i doing it wrong? and is the way u showed more effective?

True, the gunner does "stick out" more then the driver... but another hog would be on the same elevation as you (in ur hog)... so if you are facing the enemy hog AS the driver... your gunner has the ENTIRE HOG... (including the faceplate if it is still attached) between him and the enemy hog... most bullets will be "auto directed to the closer enemy (the driver).
to test this try the following
go into a custom game w/ 2 buddies....
buddy 1 should sit in a stantionary hog as the gunner
buddy 2 is your gunner
do some small (tight) donuts about 40-100yds away from the parked hog....
notice where the bullets hit (some will hit the driver... some will hit the gunner... some the hog itself)
do the same thing w/ large (open) donuts... same distance.... pay attention to small differences in where the bullets are hitting
now drive toward the parked hog, THEN away from it.
now take these 3 results and come up w/ your own personal "Best Choice"
