It's rocket race weekend finally!!!!!1111!!!1!!!oneoneone!!

Alright, so I just want to use this thread to figure out who actually wants to play this weekend. I'm trying to get my rocket race general and rack up a lot of experience. I'm playing with Deaf Smith right now and he's a brig.

So, just post here if you want to play and what your current rocket race rank is.

I think I be on almost all of Saturday. Idk how much exp i have in it. I used to play it a bit when it was a full time playlist though.

I remember smitty got me into this the first double exp weekend it came up in. Im now a general in it and more addicted to it than btb (somehow). Once you figure out the rocket boosting, it is amazingly fun. And if you see guys with 2 horizontal stripes in their emblems, be on your best behavior, they dont appreciate foul playing.

There's RR clans? That's pretty cool.

Well, I played my first few games today. I liked how most people weren't douches and played fair. Before, everyone was just going for assassination kills and that threw me off rocket race for a bit.

I mainly just want to get my colonel gold bars and thought rocket race would help be along the way. I'd also like a Lieutenant in the playlist as somehow that's my goal in every playlist, Lieutenant or above. btw whats "griefers"?

Jedi and I went into some Rocket Race for right at an hour last night. This was the fastest experience that I have EVER gained. We scored experience 8 out of 11 games in that hour. So within an hour's time, we both increased our experience by 16 points!

I never really got into RR very much, but I really see where the popularity lies. It is very fun and fast pace. Sometimes you get those games where it seems that all other three teams are only rocketing you, but that does not happen very often. There were many restarts in RR last night that were just trying to get experience. I happen to understand why they choose RR, now. I can't think of any other playlist where games happen so fast. Jedi and I were getting through some games in less than five minutes. I don't think a singe game went more than eight. I don't even think Grifball is that short on a consistent basis.

Anyway, I will be online more throughout the weekend. Feel free to hit me up for a teammate in Rocket Race.

i love RR! its fun, and dbl xp, fingerling and i one weekend earned about 24 in an hour... but stuff always seems to pop up for me on these weekends now

They do things such as rocketing a team that's just trying to get back on it's mongoose, trying to force another team into assassination battles, scoring 9 destination and then trying to mess with other teams, etc. They're just a bunch of d-bags.

Oh right, I've ran into a couple of them in my rocket race experience. Thats what puts me off rocket race.

WARR (The Worldwide Association of Rocket Racers) consider it unsportsmanlike, because it's like kicking a man when he's down. They consider it poor game etiquette to intentionally keep rocketing a team that is off their goose and trying to get back on it. Granted, you unintentionally do it sometimes, but it's considered rocket race douchebaggery.

I know I'm guilty of the capture 9 zones then kill thing but we only do it on ratsnest/standoff.
When you capture 9 territories camp one territory which is close to the edge and rocket people off :p
