Right, this is how a lot of people get the 2 for 1 achievement. You don't have to be exactly in line, but only pretty close so that the fan effect gets both of them. However, if you do this, you still get the medal for every kill you get. Nam was talking about getting like 4-5 medals for killing 1 guy.

It's just lag and it only ever counts as 1 laser kill.
I played a game today were I beat down a guy but I got more than 1 beat down medal appearing on my screen as well as you killed... you killed twice.
